NEW MEMBER ALERT!!! Brothers and Sisters please welcome Brother William (Billy) Allen into the membership of Local 238. William presented more than 17,000 verifiable work hours in the trade. He graduated from a four year State of Virginia Apprenticeship Program and obtained his Virginia State Journeyman License. On July 13, 2020, William passed the 10th District hands-on test at Local 238.

Brothers and Sisters please welcome Brother Brandon Racheter into the membership of Local 238. Brandon is a United States Marine Corps veteran. He and his wife Hayley recently moved to our jurisdiction from Ohio. Brandon presented more than 14,000 verifiable work hours in the trade.

Brothers and Sisters, Your Local 238 Negotiating Committee is pleased to report that a new Collective Bargaining Agreement with our NECA partners was agreed upon on May 21, 2020. The 12 month contract includes a $0.50 journeyman wage increase effective June 1, 2020, and a $0.45 journeyman wage increase effective January 1, 2021. Our pension contribution increased from 8.25% to 8.

Congratulations to Ron Reese for earning the classification of Journeyman Inside Wireman! Brother Reese took advantage of his time off in self quarantine from the Covid-19 virus to pass both the written and hands-on District 10 journeyman wireman tests. Ron passed the hands-on test on Wednesday April 22.

Congratulations to the newest member of Local 238! Malcolm Hepburn was sworn in to membership by Business Manager Charlie Phillips in the presence of Rachael Travis and Rick Sluder on Wednesday, April 22.

Congratulations to Local 238's newest journeyman wireman! Brother Leslie Roberts passed the 10th District hands-on test on Friday, April 17, 2020 and has earned the classification of Journeyman Inside Wireman.
