Brothers and Sisters, Please check out the document attached to this article about a proposed offshore windmill project in the Carolina Bay. Take a moment to follow the instructions and leave a comment for the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management asking that they use union labor to build every aspect of these energy farms. None of us can do everything, but all of us can do something.

Royale Burnett

IBEW Local 238 is deeply sadddened by the unexpected passing of our Brother Royale Burnett. Brother Burnett was a Journeyman Inside Wireman and was loved and respected by all who knew him. Royale's funeral is graveside service only on Sunday, December 5, at 3:00 p.m. at: Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery, 1743 Chase High Road, Forest City, NC 28043.

Future Solar Project Report

Jeff has put together this report on the potential financial savings of using the solar panels we have on site to create our own solar arrays at the union hall.

JULIAN "BUCK" MCELHINNEY BUCHANAN JR. Saturday, March 17, 1956 - Wednesday, October 27, 2021 A Life Well Remembered Canton- Julian McElhinney Buchanan, Jr., age 65, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 and entered into his eternal place of peace and rest.

Coat Drive For WNC Rescue Mission

Brothers and sisters, it is getting cold again and I would like to help out the less fortunate members of our community. Brother Frazier lives in Local 238's jurisdiction and is working for Miller Electric at the Facebook Data Center in Forest City NC. Brother Frazier has worked Book 2 in our local for a long time.
